Pictured above are the three incoming freshman I previously mentioned. Just think guys, only 51 days until the season opener against NC Central on November 14. I am very excited, as I am expecting a big year out of the boys.
Last year, the season came to a disappointing end, as the Tar Heels lost in the second round to a very good Iowa State team. Granted, they lost Brice Johnson, who was doing many great things in the post last year, and is expected to have a big season this year. Although the boys didn't have a stellar season or win the ACC, they did show great potential and a lot of improvement as the season went on. They did defeat Duke, UNC's biggest rivals, at home in Chapel Hill. Nobody expected UNC to beat Duke last year, because Duke was a very talented team and was one of the favorites to win the championship, although they got upset in the first round to Mercer, something I personally thought was great and I enjoyed rubbing it in some Duke fan's face. However, Duke received two of the top 4 recruits, so they are expected to be very good again this year. Anyways, I am very excited for the Heels to play this season. I am expecting a lot out of them though, so hopefully I am not let down or disappointed. Pictured below is a photo of the bench during the UNC Duke game, and man do they look fired up! UNC looks to be a favorite in the ACC, but with the new addition of Louisville, it is going to be even tougher than it already is. Actually, Duke is the favorite, but Carolina is right behind them. There are many teams ranked in the ACC, such as Duke, UNC, Louisville, Virginia, and Syracuse. That is a very tough conference to go through and win,
